Katz, Mark S.

Mark S. Katz is experienced in various areas of complex insurance and reinsurance litigation as well as insurance regulatory issues. His experience includes first-party, third-party and reinsurance coverage disputes involving matters such as property damage, builders' risk, lost business income, extra expense, and boiler and machinery claims. He has litigated actions involving properties under construction, manufacturing facilities, hotel/resorts, casinos, residential condominium/co-op buildings, warehouses, big box retail stores and various other commercial properties. He is also experienced in the defense of liability actions involving matters such as employment practices, exposure to pollutants and toxins, suits against directors and officers, and professional errors and omissions. He is admitted to the New York and New Jersey bars and has litigated in numerous other federal and state courts throughout the United States. Mr. Katz is a graduate of Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and of Hofstra Law School (J.D.), where he was an editor of the Hofstra Law Review.
